Tia Johansson is a long time veteran of the title industry starting her career in title during the 70's.  Ms. Johansson brings all of this wonderful experience and knowledge to National Title and will be engaged as part of the management team in her supervisory role.

National Title proudly names Claudia A. Smith, formerly with First American REO, to be the company's new EVP of Title Operations.  Ms. Smith will handle the title and closing operations of the company facilitating its growth through expanded title insurance, searching and closing services.  "We are honored to have such an experienced and knowledgeable member join our team" says Robert J. With its continued growth this year National Title has found the need to expand.  Beginning today, renovations have begun on the new offices for NT.  The new offices will be located on the fourth floor of the Hopp Law Centre and will feature state of the art systems and closing facilities.  These new offices will allow for continued growth and enhanced services for our clients.  During construction the operations will remain in Suite 333. 

Today it is expected that a late Bill will be introduced in the Colorado Legislator proposing to mandate undefined loss mitigation efforts by the lender prior to foreclosure.  Although there may be merit underlying this effort, the late nature of the legislation and the impact on the judiciary and lending industry would be massive and should not be taken lightly.  The proposed requirements and procedures will have a fiscal impact and participation by all interested parties should be had before implementing more changes on the heels of the major foreclosure law reform last year.

The 2007 session of the Colorado legislature is in full swing.  Robert J. Hopp is once again active in the session promoting legislative changes in the real estate and foreclosure statutes.

Recognizing increased default rates in the southwest, Robert J. Hopp has expanded the services offered to mortgage servicers and lenders in the areas of default.
